Overview: Are you ready to take an active role in enhancing safety for you and your family? Although we live in a great society, the possibility of becoming a victim of violent crime is ever-present. According to FBI Crime statistics, a violent crime occurs every 27.1 seconds and a property crime occurs every 3.7 seconds across the U.S. Many people over-rely on tools such as firearms, pepper spray, or tasers as the only means to confront an assailant. However, it is much more effective to avoid criminal contact and prevent criminal opportunity.
•Awareness is the key to avoiding criminal attack… and the NRA sponsored Refuse To Be A Victim program is a four hour crime prevention seminar, which provides practical information geared toward awareness, avoidance, and prevention.
•This seminar will help participants better understand criminal thinking and provide tips on maximizing home, automobile, telephone, technological, and personal safety. Participants will also learn about carjacking prevention strategies; self-defense training options; and the incorporation of both non-lethal and lethal devices.
•Class size is limited to 8 to facilitate discussion and to accomplish participant objectives.
•Participants receive the NRA Refuse To Be A Victim curriculum handbook and certificate of completion.
